Day 224: The Pages Left Unwritten
“No one else can play your part.” — The Light in the Dark
Today’s not about poetry. It’s not about beauty. It’s about survival.
I think about ending my life more than I want to admit. I think about how easy it would be to just stop writing, to put down the pen and close the book. But then I remember what I told Hope.
I told her I finally found something worth not giving up on—and that was us.
And whether or not we ever find our way back to each other, I know one thing with absolute certainty:
If I stop fighting, if I give up now—
I will never know how the story ends.
That’s why I’m still here.
Because maybe, just maybe, the words I haven’t written yet are the ones that matter most.
Because someone out there—maybe someone reading this—needs to hear that they’re not the only one hanging by a thread.
Because no one else can live this story. No one else can write it the way I can. No one else can play my part.
So I’ll keep showing up.
I’ll keep writing.
Even when it hurts.
Especially when it hurts.
Because the only way to make it back to Hope is to keep going.
And the only way you’ll ever find peace is to stay in the fight long enough to feel it.
So here’s to the pages left unwritten.
To the stubborn hearts that refuse to fold.
To the lives that don’t end in silence.
We’re still here. And that matters.
One Step. One Punch. One Round.🌹
