Day 102 – Healing Through the Battles

Day 102

Sobriety isn’t just giving up alcohol—it’s battling the regrets, fears, and the longing left behind. Months ago, I was isolated in an RV, fixated on transforming my body, thinking it would win back someone I’ll call “Hope.” The irony? Hope always saw my worth, even when I couldn’t see it myself.

Physical fitness didn’t solve the real battle—the insecurities, the regrets, and the deep wounds that alcohol had numbed. Today, I’m in the best shape of my life physically, but the mental battles? They’re ongoing. I still hear that voice whispering, “You’ll never be enough.” But now I know how to fight back: with compassion for myself and the resilience to keep going.

Recovery is messy. It’s far from perfect. But it’s real. Every sober day is a choice to heal, even when the progress feels small. If you’re walking this road too, I want you to know: you’re not alone. It’s not easy, but the love and hope that come with clarity are worth every step.

So, I’ll keep walking.

One Step. One Punch. One Round at a Time.

A fellow traveler in recovery
